AOD Support Services
RivMed provides Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Supports and Services. We work with the clinical team and GPs to case manage and coordinate care for the treatment of substance abuse for individuals and their families. We help create awareness, provide education, intervention and prevention support to community to:
- Reduce the risk of harms from AOD
- Increase access to health and social services
- Support with substance misuse/abuse
- Advocacy
- Transport to/from rehab and detox centre’s
- Education and Awareness
- Cultural Sensitivity
- Harm Minimisation
- Prevention and Early Intervention
- Case Management

- support journey towards healing and recovery
Post-Custodial Support Services
RivMed’s Post-Custodial Support Services help people leaving custody who have a history of harmful AOD use through culturally appropriate support programs.

The Assessment and care planning will begin up to 3 months prior to the person’s release from custody and continue for up to 12 months post-release and 4 weeks after being released.
