RivMed held its annual Yandarra Day celebrations, giving back to the community and marking one of the biggest First Nations events on the Wagga Wagga calendar.
Yandarra means “Coming Together” in Wiradjuri and that is what the day is all about, bringing families together, uniting mob and celebrating the resilience, culture and wellbeing of First Nations peoples.
This year, the event brought Brisbane Broncos star Reece Walsh into community, drawing crowds to share health and wellbeing messaging.
Children were treated to activities, games and rides throughout the day, including free haircuts. Talented community members participated in a Talent Show that got the whole crowd dancing and enjoying themselves.
Yandarra Day is more than an event, it captures the spirit of unity, and it is RivMed’s show of appreciation to the Wiradjuri community for supporting its efforts throughout the year.
We are always looking for sponsors, donations and stakeholders to get involved each year, to build Yandarra bigger and better.
