Connected Beginnings

Connected Beginnings is an Australian Government program aimed at preparing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children for school.

It supports children from birth to school age and pregnant women, focusing on improving school readines educational and health outcomes.

The program is jointly funded by the Department of Education and the Department of Health and Aged Care, and it aims to close the gap in education and health outcomes between Indigenous and non-Indigenous children.

Here at RivMed we hold the health component side of Connected Beginnings funding and the back bone funding provided by Department of Education is currently held by PlayGroups NSW you can find more information in regards to that here:

We respectfully acknowledge that the lands and waterways on which the Riverina Medical and Dental Aboriginal Corporation operates, and the communities we serve are the traditional lands of the Wiradjuri people. We pay our respects to our elders past and present and we will continue to fulfill our cultural obligations as a First Nations organisation operating on Wiradjuri country.

Always Was. Always Will Be.
