Clinical Manager

The opportunity

RivMed has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Manager to oversee and manage our clinical and research programs.  The successful applicant will work within a growing supportive and passionate team at Riverina Medical & Dental Aboriginal Corporation (RivMed) to ensure delivery of the highest quality, services and programs.

The Role

The Clinical Manger will be responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership for multiple programs and actively participate as a member of executive, reporting to the CEO.

The key objectives of the role include, but are not limited to:

  1. Managing the operations and delivery of clinic services to ensure improved health outcomes for clients in collaboration with the Practice Manager;
  2. Overseeing funding applications and reporting requirements for the Clinic and ensuring funding streams and Medicare income is maximised; 
  3. Monitoring and ensuring continuous improvement across the team;
  4. Leading and managing the Clinic teams to ensure all staff are engaged and empowered to achieve clinical and health objectives; and
  5. Actively participate as a member of the Executive Team.

Riverina Medical and Dental Aboriginal Corporation (RivMed) is a long-established Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation in the heart of Wiradjuri Country. 

RivMed work to effect change in the most marginalised and vulnerable people in our community. We work to achieve this through the provision of culturally appropriate medical and well-being services for Aboriginal people and their families.

About you

To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate you meet the Selection Criteria below:

  • Aboriginality – This is an identified Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander position and candidates will be required to provide confirmation of Aboriginality with their application. (NB: applicants race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised by Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW)
  • Tertiary qualifications relevant to the role; or qualification as an Aboriginal Health Worker or Practitioner; or equivalent relevant skills and experience
  • Experience working with peak bodies, funding agencies, service regulators, strategic partners and community
  • Significant experience in report writing and reporting against funding contract KPI’s
  • Demonstrated managerial experience including managing budgetary and human resource requirements
  • Excellent computer skills and experience utilising clinical software such as Communicare
  • Current drivers licence and willingness to travel for work related purposes.
